Bow over (again)

You know my infatuation with bows. I jump and squeal at first sight of them. Needless to say, when I saw these over at Style Bubble, I was gasping for air.

Cor Sine Labe Doli was founder by Antonio Patruno Randolfi, Luigi Arbore and Massimo Mazzilli. All handcrafted out of ceramic by the local expert artisans in Marostica, Italy. The bow is such a simple accessory but done in the most eccentric and artistic manner.

i heart lola

Marc Jacobs has a new fragrance in both spray and solid form. As usual, the solid perfume comes in a form of a ring. Not to sure bout the scent, but I'd wear this gorgeous bouquet in a heartbeat!

Pretty ya?

Stella McCartney for GapKids

How adorable is it? This is one of those unexpected collaboration - Stella McCartney for Gap Kids and Gap Baby. Some of the pieces are scaled down versions of her own collection pieces. And even thou the military jacket isn't so McCartney, I'm still loving it. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this collaboration will be brought to shores and the lil boy jackets come in youth sizes that fits us adults (me!).

edit: This 70 piece line will be launched in select Gap stores in U.S, Canada, UK, France and Japan on 2 Nov 2009. (darn!)

little treasures

I'm constantly on a look out for sweet lil things to be discovered and shared. And thanks to Bloesem, I've discoverd two new designers with different styles and asthetics and yet oh-so wonderful.

Who can resist such adorable looking brooches? Depeapa is handmade in a little home base studio in Spain by a very talented artist. The illustration on the brooches are originally drawn.

For more Depeapa designs, click here

Next up is by a designer so close to home, she resides in Hong Kong and has the most precious jewelry ever. Yellowgoat is the literal translate of the designer's name, Huang Yang. From lovely brass head to little trinklets, there's always a hidden surprise in her designs.

East meets West

What happens when you fuse a Japanese designer with an Italian fashion house?

Well, you get a range of uber cool shoes like these. Especially when its a collaboration between avant garde designer Yohji Yamamoto and the craftsmanship of shoe label Salvatore Ferragamo. Breaking away from the feminine style of Ferragamo`s signature grosgain bow, Yamamoto has designed a range of androgynous hightops, leather sneakers and brogues. Even men wants them.

i heart Paraphernalia

Paraphernalia just launched their new store online with 2 brand new collections (New bracelets available! See above). And Ms Vanda is offering a 10% discount on all purchases from now till 30 Nov! Go grab that piece you've always wanted or get one for someone you love this Christmas. It is an awesome piece of accessory to have. I swear by mine and getting ready to get another (choosing which to buy is the tough part).

Project Runway Finale

At the beginning of the latest season of Project Runway (season 5) I thought the designers were mediocre no one really stood out for me (Okay maybe 1 or 2 did), and maybe because we've seen fantastic designers from past seasons like Christian, Rami, Chloe and Jeffrey. But gradually, I started rooting for Leanne and i like Kenley's style (the vintage thing is adorable). Thankfully they made it to Bryant Park!

I have been avoiding all S/S09 reviews that covers any part of the Project Runway finale in order to watch it myself. The anticipation builds especially having a glimpse of it on various blogs. I am in awe of the final collections coming from the finalist and I must say, it was a good show. Korto's collection was nice, but it didn't appeal much to me. They were just pretty pieces but i have to agree that they will appeal to many women out there. I did adore the color palette of her collection thou. Leanne and Kenley's stood out, and I'm so glad it did.

Leanne's collection is so Leanne. I'm a fan of architectural designs on clothings and I love the sculpture and wave-like pleats. This girl is really good! Some may say that her collection was too literally since the inspiration was waves, but i think otherwise. The soothing colors complimented the soft pleats and petals very nicely. It helped that she took the liberty to create ready to wear pieces from dresses to pants and jackets, it really showed her ability to create. And her craftsmanship was impeccable! They looked professionally done and can pass off as works of any shows during the week. I would wear every single piece from her collection. Did i mention that her wedding dress is divine? She can be the next vera wang. She is definitely on my fashion radar.

Kenley's fellow designers calls her a one trick pony. And this one trick pony can really design a fabulous collection! Like Leanne's collection, Kenley's collection is just so Kenley. It has Kenley written all over the dresses. Her vintage inspired collection really appeal to me. It was kooky and quirky yet feminine. Each piece is a short story and the entire collection makes up the book. It has a dramatic silhouette which I like but i have to agree with the judges that it did look a little like Balenciaga's. What i really adore is that she hand painted the prints on the dress. I can really see her in the catagory of Betsey Johnson, a little bit of Luella and Anna Sui. This girl is creative and talented but she needs to work on her attitude.

I wanna ride with you

Okay, I know it's not the most practical bag to be lusting over (it's just a (SUPERHUGE!) clutch). BUT IT'S UBER CUTE! (Apologies for the lack of control) But the applique Rolls Royce at the flap is just so.. !!! (No words can describe). For US$1495 it is more costly than most of the handbags.

COMME home with me

I want the pants, jacket, shoes, bag, wallet and shirt! This collection from H&M by Comme des Garcons is so gonna sell out. Polka dots are hard to resist, polka dots by Comme des Garcons is a MUST have. As well as the deconstructed style jackets with oh-so-adorable collars! Peter pan collars + polka dots = ultra cuteness I cannot say no to. God help me get a piece of this collaboration! Even the men's collection is uber cute. Look at those huge dotted bermudas matched with the same tee (looks like a full jumpsuit!).

talk about versatility

Already an award winning accessories designer, Devi Kroell turned to apparel design for a new challenge. Her first ready-to-wear collection is sleek with tons of volume. Extremely wearable with stunning silhouettes, you do not have to be supermodel thin to be wearing any of these pieces. The poufy skirts are fabulous for hiding unwanted bulges around the hips. And her accessories, as stunning as ever (look at that humongous envelop clutch!!).

SS09: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Mr Jacobs always impresses and this time it's no surprise. Im loving the shoes, they're uber cute (have always been!) and so wearable. I'm seeing a nautical theme to this collection, the stripes may be used a million times everywhere by everyone but it's still awesome!

First we layer our clothes, now we're layering belts too (cool!) ?! Even the men are getting it! The play with stripes on stripes, the washed off denim, the multiple belts... I've fallen in love with the collection (who wouldn't) all over again.

All in a book

I couldn't resist a book full of glossy pages of the Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S08 collection. This little red book is in Japanese and comes with a black and white printed nylon bag (shown in the first image). All for S$28, who could resist (i couldn't!)? And if you have a Kinokuniya card, you get a 10% off.

i LOVE LOVE LOVE the cover, it retains the Marc by Marc Jacobs S/S08 look with a Japanese flavor! Ultra cute!

Catherine Holstein

Her name is Catherine Holstein and she designs the cutest clothes! One of the selected Nylon(japan) It-brand of the moment! She made a splash in the scene in 2007 and Mischa B. was spotted wearing the nautical inspired top from her collection.

Her Fall 2008 collection is sweet like candy. Loose tops + structured bottoms, with the use of lemony yellow on selected pieces, keeping the rest of the colors neutral. The large pleats are extremely hard to resist! Great detailing + a slouchy fit for the prefect fall! Love the jumper dress to death!
