Yeah, it's another of those 'bow' moments. But honestly, I just couldn't resist it. From Ban.do

Threaded
One of those precious etsy finds. I love love love the shoulder "pads", pin it on tees, shirts, dresses for an instant lift.

Bow over (again)
You know my infatuation with bows. I jump and squeal at first sight of them. Needless to say, when I saw these over at Style Bubble, I was gasping for air.
Cor Sine Labe Doli was founder by Antonio Patruno Randolfi, Luigi Arbore and Massimo Mazzilli. All handcrafted out of ceramic by the local expert artisans in Marostica, Italy. The bow is such a simple accessory but done in the most eccentric and artistic manner.

what (I wish) I wore today
Am so into the basic maxi dresses right now and this nautical stripe one is perfect for the season. Pair it with a biker chic denim jacket like this one by Helmut Lang, arm with the oh-so-coveted PS1, put on the perfect sandals by Rachel Comey and finish the look with a straw hat, some geek glasses and bangles.
Okay, enough dreaming. That would be the outfit today if money grew on plants in my living room.

Backpack
Me: I need a massage badlyyyyy. Shoulder ache, back ache, neck ache.
Aunt: How come?
Me: I'm guessing my heavy bag and laptop.
Aunt: You need a backpack!
Me: eeks. I can live with the pain.
Aunt: What's wrong with backpack, they're cool ok
Me: Yeah! Back when I was in secondary school?

Flat soles
It's odd how it has been raining quite a bit lately. Ain't it supposed to be summer? Nonetheless, rain or shine, the weather does clear up after several hours and so the footwear of choice would still be sandals. Sandals are staples for our climate and will be better footwear than the national flip flops. I've been constantly looking for new sandals to replace the old ones which i've worn them to their grave (and still wearing) and these are a whole lot of promising looking ones (without looking at price tags).

DNA
Finnish people are not only known for their designs, their people are equally know for their great sense of style. I'm starting to think it is in their DNA to be aesthetically creative in all sense, from design to dressing.
Ranna has always been one of my favorite bloggers and definitely one of those in my style icon list. And even though she closed her english blog, her Finnish one is equally stylish (as always). Though the google reader does quite a shitty job with translating Finnish to English, the photo diary of her day to day outfits are enough for me to feast on. I just love the way she layer the pearl necklaces to create a classic, old style look on a modern outfit or how beautifully she wears the 50s look.

Clog up
I've always been a secret fan of the clogs but to avoid being dated, I've never dared try them on. Right now clogs are the hottest footwear on the runway and no longer belong in the 70s (even Alexa Chung is wearing them). These clogs by Jeffrey Campbell are hot hot hot. If I could balance in them for more than a minute, they would be mine in a heart beat.
I figured it needs a certain amount of height to be current and sexy. If any of you know where I can find clogs in Singapore tell me!! I'd like to try them on before jumping on the clog bandwagon. Thanks! Oh btw, black or brown?

Spring time
Judging from my choices, I'm definitely in the mood for spring. It's pretty florals everywhere, how can one resist? From Urban outfitters

Bow over
Can anyone fit these vintage shoes (size 5.5m)? They're too adorable to resist and unfortunately my feet are a size too big. I honestly have a serious issue with this love/hate thing for vintage shoes. Love how cute and comfy they are and I so hate the fact that if it doesn't fit, there's no way I can find another.

floral prints
It was love at first sight when I past the Zara store display the other day. It was this that made my heart flutter...
Unfortunately, I do not possess the height (bad genes) for it but it will look awesome on someone taller. And as usual, I went on ebay looking for similar ones. The vintages ones are usually romper style but to my surprise, I was able to uncover some really awesome pieces that were long.

New kid on the blog
There aren't many streetstyle blogs in Singapore and some of them come and go very quickly. A new discovery this week - Outre Singapore by James Bent. It's like a mix of The Sartorialist and The Facehunter. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he continues his work and show us what the nation has become - fashion wise. Here are some of my favourites..
Love the big tulle skirt!
Pris Tan of Chalk. Met her once, sweet and charming girl. Did I mention I totally adore that skirt she created?
If 2/3 of Singaporean men dresses up like these guys do, we will stop seeing the polo tee (collar up! yikes) and jeans combo.
I like his choices.
