if you're happy and you know it make a print

These happy and vibrant prints are from zukzuk. The colorful bird print is called 'Jelly Bean Birds' such a fun name for such a happy print. Apparently, the artist claim to be in a jolly mood the day she did that print, and i'd have to say it definitely show! And i have to quote decor8,when you read her blog, her enthusiasm leaps from the screen. i guess being happy is the perfect way to create perfect art/design pieces, it truly show!

This is a gorgeous 1960s chiffon dress. pretty pleats on a perfect shade of green. Unfortunately, its sold.

blazing glory

i know many like to layer it on with light pieces and then top it off with a blazer for the finishing look. And i have to agree a blazer always polish a casual look and it makes a jeans + tee combi suitable for the office (again, depending on what kind of work environment you're in). I used to wear my blazer/jacket to work everyday, i practically lived in them. But the recent extreme weather has caused me to ditch them for even lighter clothes and throwing a cardigan in the bag for the office or rainy days. i'd really like to start wearing blazers again but i can't seem to put myself thru the heat. I love how these bloggers pull off each look effortlessly with a blazer. 

one of my favourite ebay stores, Thriftwares, have blazers as a staple for every week's auction. Its amazing how many vintage blazers one can find. On top of that, they always manage to find amazing avant garde capes, extremely fancy but unsuitable for the weather conditions here. Even during the rainy seasons, i'd look really odd walking around in those capes. It just isn't cold enough here.

Unfortunately, Skye's a little too small for me. But shortly after i bumped into Wood Lane and Frances. They are both knock outs and really tall! In the most perfect shade of pink and blue...

Foot candy on sale

i wrote an entry on Minna Parikka's gorgeous shoe collection previously and these are the lust worthy pairs on sale right now... An average of 100pounds per pair (after discount), available at Tatty Devine Boutique. oooh, that black Wilma low heels has sucha cute fan-ribbon detail! And that red & white Grethel low heels is to die for! Perfectly cute and not too high!

By the way, now that l'artichaut is closed, where can we still get tatty devine's jewelry?

The opening of the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing brings about a spectacular array of made-made patterns and costumes. Extremely memorable and breathtaking. It was one hell of a show! Bravo to the team that put the entire show together as well as all the participants!
