This one is just across the road from my office. There are other branded perfumes as well but if you're a fan of Paul & Joe cosmetics, don't miss this one. Cosmetic bags, brushes etc. Lipsticks from 12bucks, blusher from 10bucks, Mascara from 16bucks. The Givenchy stuffs are about the same price range.

for art sake

we braved the scorching sun and headed to City Hall, one of the Singapore Biennale site. Lucky for us, the building has air conditioning. It was one freaking hot Saturday afternoon. Some random photos from the exhibit in poladroids (Im poladroiding everything).

Oh this is interesting. There's a pulley system that will undo the knitted vines leaving them in a pile of wool thread.

tea for three

Somehow it just happened. I met up with melly and sarah on a bright sunny afternoon for the preview of the new collection at Bianca, it was officially my first bloggers meet up. I never thought i'd ever had done it in the first place. wow. Anyway, Melly and I went to school today, so technically we already knew each other (we even took neo prints together back then!). But that was eons ago and we've lost all contact only until recently through blogging. Sarah is a fellow blogger and somehow there is a certain "connection" that lead us to finally meet up.

Anyway, Sarah beat me to it by blogging about it first, but i had to wait cause all the photos are with her anyway. We had drinks and snacks (gossips included of course) at The Coffee Nation, light shopping along Haji Lane and headed to Front Row at Ann Siang Hill. There's a sale going on at Front Row right now, the pieces are lovely and the prices are still some what steep. But all in all it was a lovely afternoon with the girls, these girls are very real and fun to be around. 

I hope there will be more of such to come ladies! And next time we'll have real desserts with coffee! Thanks for the lovely afternoon.

Happenings: Weekend Bazaar

Should you be in the vicinity or a student at SMU, please come down to the Weekend Bazaar at SMU School of Economics this Friday and Saturday 12pm - 10pm. I have a booth selling pre-loved, vintage and brand new apparels, shoes and bags as well as handmade accessories from my own etsy store. Tons of pieces from high street brands, menswear for those who love to create menswear inspired outfits (or for the bf), vintage pieces from our personal collection and many other pre-loved but brand new never worn before pieces. Lots of items for sale, in fact I think we might not have enough space for everything to be displayed!

outfit: Casualness

We've completed our artsy quota for the year all in a Saturday afternoon. Headed to the Singapore Biennale 2008 at the South Beach Development for a look see, there are a few installation pieces that are actually quite good and worth the time. So, I spend my Saturday in a all casual tee and denim ensemble. Something that's comfortable for a humid afternoon, should have swop the jeans for shorts instead! Anyway I threw on a statement necklace to jazz up the outfit a lttle.

We've gotten a confirmation and got a slot at the coming Weekend Bazaar at SMU on the 17/18 Oct! I've never been to one before and i have no idea what the crowd is like. So should there be any students from SMU, please give me a heads up of what to expect. Truly appreciate it. We've got tons of pre-loved goods (ladies and menswear) to clear, some pre-loved vintage from our own collection as well as brand new pieces for sale. Pieces starts from S$5, so come down and shop with us!

Sundaygoods

Remember the last time when you bought a pair of shoe on impulse even thou it was a size too snug? Or that dress you bought as a motivation to lose 5 pounds but never got round to it? What about the time when you needed to shake off the stress and went on a retail buying frenzy and bought one to many things on an impulse just because it felt good? Or maybe some of us just put on (or lose) a pound to many and could no longer fit into some of our favorite pieces (good for you if you've lost the weight instead!). While for some of us, like how seasons change, so does our personal style. Well, that's just how we feel and hence the birth of sundaygoods. 

Sometimes we feel we've nothing to wear even though we have a closet full of clothes staring back at us. And oddly, it seems sinful (yeah right!) to be purchasing new pieces when we are constantly searching for more closet space! So in order to expand our closet space (and pockets to be honest!), we've decided to share our pre-loved and vintage goods with all. 

Like flea market and thrift shopping on sunday mornings, sundaygoods bring you thrift and vintage goods all through the week. Once loved by us, now looking for a new lease of life in a new wardrobe. We try to keep our listings in a theme and items within a set will be listed through the week. So remember to swing by for updates and new goods!

Have a happy weekend!

Things i'll be doing this weekend...

1. Immediately collect a cake after work and head home to celebrate Daddy's 61st birthday! Which means no walking into Topshop/Zara/Mango etc. Oh, Happy Birthday Pa!

2. Vintage and thrift shopping on saturday. Probably head down to Granny's day out (they're having a 40% storewide!) and deja vu vintage, and then to salvation army at upper serangoon road. Been wanting to visit that place since forever. Do you think i can squeeze in a visit to Soon Lee? I miss Haji Lane.

3. Spend some time creating dainty jewelry from the beads i've bought years back. It's about time i did something out of it.

4. Photo taking of the new jewelry (refer to #3) for my etsy store. Im in need of extra cash for my shopping fix.

5. Rest & relax with whatever time i have left and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Let's see how much i'll manage accomplish.
